- FURNACE OF DESIRES, AND OTHER THOUGHTS, OCTOBER 15, 2024In Poetry·October 16, 2024furnace of desires pleasure's delicious heat glows... her resolve melting ----- she comes to poet in silver gown the moon made... lace of wants and words ----- With the northern wind howling, I gave my horse his head, And blundered cross a dessert Buried beneath snow, Looking for lonesome words Lost in the roaring blast, To round them up and take Them to safety in a poem. In that wordless wilderness, The poet and his steed, Did all someone can do to Save beauty from the world. ----- She is a garden Sensual pastel petals, Small field of fingertips, Moving to the breeze of Passing breath as the Warm lips of this Insatiable honeybee Seek love's flowing nectar, The taste lingering long Within his mouth so he May remember her flower Which bloomed for him. ----- the finest flower is worth the wrath of its thorns... when tended not plucked ----- Having "been around", he considered himself immune to seduction, but this was different. The way she looked in the moonlight, simply walking across the room in a simple gown, was the most innocently seductive think he'd ever seen. For the first time in his life full of sex and violence, he desired a woman for herself... however she would come to him. ----- The most common things Become a pleasure, Something to laugh about Together and point out, To share each moment, The pleasure of being One with the other, Making each commonplace Event something special, Shared moments what We live and laugh for. ----- i try to be good but it's not in my nature... to not desire you ----- she well understands questions i haven't asked her... responds with a kiss ----- The heat of your body beside me Might as well be naked With the pressure and the warmth The way your form fits mine One curve into the other Molding and melding, Changing positions with Little murmurs of content At each new contact Making love, Penetration Touch into need, Intimacy of the first order ----- Is there some way to touch you other than with a breath of words which are immaterial and fall apart within inches of my lips never crossing even one of the miles that lie between our hearts. ----- She was quiet, so quiet, yet, in her eyes he saw flames. Her cool words sometimes smoldered with suggestive embers, meanings left unspoken, but there. He knew the woods, the waters, the sky... he knew nature, and what she showed the world was not her true nature. He loved nature, loved her. ----- Graceful as a swan She arches, beautiful, Enrapt by warm desires Sweeping along her body, The satisfaction beginning As tiny embers burst into fire Spreading their flames licking Their way throughout her curling Her with the heat of their passing. ----- She listens to hear The words I murmur Over the beating of my heart, Beneath her resting head, For, as I speak, The passion of my feelings, The fervor of my words Is reflecting in The thunder which rolls Beneath her warm cheek. ----- Began side by side, And without a word, Her hand slid into mine, A link of trust, In a chain just begun, And as time, And sunsets, Passed, My arm went Round her waist, And hers round mine, As hips bumped With each step, Until she Slipped her arm Through mine, And pressed Against me, Our own little Private Public Dance ----- Give me your body, dearest, Become a naked altar for Me to worship at, Let me bring you pleasure, Edging to the lips of ecstasy, With offerings of the flesh, And libations of the most Sensual and savory nectars, So that afterwards, Forever afterwards, We may lay entwined And sated until The next worshipping. ----- next word's about you and if not a word or phrase... then the next silence • Donovan Baldwin158

- HOW PROUDLY SHE STRUTS, AND OTHER POEMS, AUGUST 29, 2024In Poetry·August 30, 2024how proudly she struts aware as his eyes follow every move she makes smile not quite haughty for she desires this hot gaze which strips her naked her walk becomes dance hot seductive tango he cannot resist (Inspired by a video of an Argentinian tango.) ---- love not in darkness don't mute ecstasy with shame embrace its true light ----- drinking from petals nectar only love can bring to delicate folds ----- the two skills i have love and writing poetry both bring only pain ----- naked on her bed waiting to greet her lover gasps as he enters ----- never having been i still dream of paradise adam to your eve ----- she chose my heart's words wove them into love's restraints bound herself with them ----- of possible sins let not one of disrespect sully our desires ---- my heart has known you before sight or sound or taste loving you that long ----- eager eyes closed tight better for my mind to see your beauty revealed ----- never enough words so i keep transposing them in revealing poems ----- i gamble for love tossing my poetic dice hope to win your heart ----- as i grow older i recall love known and made but words come slowly ----- if she were my love and she is but doesn't know my words would tell her ----- if i could once be somewhere in your memories if not in your heart • Donovan Baldwin137

- LongingsIn Poetry·August 28, 2024Your words are like sticky knives Sweet quills laced with arsenic Floating across the miles Aiming for my heart Your aim is deadly, hitting marks Passionate invitations Touching heart and tender spots Tracing my desires I long to be as you describe Running free to love, explore Our hearts and limbs entwined Beating out our own love song Dark poet with eager mind Oft I feel your kisses soft Running down my neck, wet like tears upon hot skin Come explore where dreams begin Together holding hands Trapsing sand and towering wood As we were when life began125
- I WHISPERED YOUR NAMEIn Poetry·August 20, 2024you said you'd turn me on if i told you my desires i whispered your name ----- a dying poet cares less for the end of days than the end of words ----- he's tried so often to write words that tell the world how much he's loved her ----- the beauty's in you you're the one who cannot see what i try to reveal ----- poet writes outside the lines defies tradition ----- with sweet ink she writes poetry upon petals meant to be tasted ----- i long to hold you have you stay within my arms forever and more ----- she is too open for the others to accept so she turns to me ----- at others' beck and call I've never belonged to me wanted for who i am ----- made aware so often i accept my worthlessness in the eyes of the world ----- once wrote poetry it began to sadden me so the urge left me ----- the last thing i love has now become a burden i can no longer bear ----- wait beside the tracks for the train that never comes the one bearing love ---- no one can give me what the fates have so decreed will never be mine ----- a whole life I've spent wishing for someone to care but it's too late now • Donovan Baldwin113
