- THE GHOST OF ARTEMISIn Poetry·August 25, 2023I have seen her ghost, Gleaming like the moon Within the morning mist, Crooning her love song, A hunting song, A sad and mournful song, Sung for her lost love Orion dead at Gaia's hand, Or perhaps her own, For none remembers now, But the ghost of Artemis Who but mourns, And tells no tale. • Donovan Baldwin000
- AT LAST I FOUND YOU, AND OTHER SHORT POEMSIn Poetry·August 26, 2023at last i found you all these years i searched for you... where were you hiding ----- you hid in my sky laughing behind bright rainbows... bound into birdsong ----- you and i trade words images of love's desires... and beautiful needs ----- unfolding for him her pastel blossom blooming... with crystal dewdrops ----- love's not difficult she's simpliity itself... light in his darkness ----- how he captured her he made her love herself first... then him the same way ----- seeing her alone while holding herself together... he gave her his hands ----- two loving rebels thrust against society's... senseless restrictions ----- sensual thoughts bring true orgasms in the mind... multiple and deep ----- summer rain left trails running down quivering skin... and rising desires ----- summer rain left trails running down quivering skin... raising her desire ----- his gaze raked across her as real as fingers on skin... stripped naked to sight ----- along rose pathway promises i thought i saw... dreams among petals ----- your warm petals kiss leave your smiole upon my lips... breath within my mouth ----- as plain as thunder the music i hear is silent... yet my soul responds ----- diving pleasure's seas committing most divine sins... drowning in her depths ----- sun on crystal petals love songs of the flowers rang... as lovers embraced ----- flesh following heart what some call sin made divine... love and lust combined ----- one hand on the wheel the other resting on your thigh... in complete control ----- • Donovan Baldwin001

- ENDING IN RAPTUROUS SILENCEIn Poetry·August 26, 2023If words touched you like fingers I would speak my way along The arching curve of back, Using comments such as Shivering and quivering, Raising your flesh with Hot breaths upon the softest places Intimate intonations Of lust and passion, In gasping sentences And lurid phrases, A sensual tête-à-tête, Ending in rapturous silence. • Donovan Baldwin000
- HIDDEN MEANINGSIn Poetry·August 26, 2023Don't seek hidden meanings In what I write. Oh, they're there, but, They are my meanings, Blended in from My life experiences, My pains, My pleasures, My beliefs, Truisms And fallacies. But, you cannot know that all, Nor see with my eyes. See with your own, And find your own truths. • Doovan Baldwin000
- TELL ME WHAT YOU NEED, AND OTHER MESSAGES...In Poetry·August 27, 2023Tell me what you need, Some ardent love, Some time alone, Show me the path To bring you To ecstasy, or, Make you fall Blissfully asleep. Never stop showing me, What you want me to do, Or that you want me Not to stop. ----- one by one they drop leaving burning trails on her... candlewax of words ----- ululating cries undulating ecstasy... promiscuous pleasure ----- took her down a path she had not dared walk alone... found her fantasies ----- take me inside you as your breast rises and falls... in each breath you take ----- no moment apart that i am not missing you... wish you knew how much ----- Quivers of anticipation At the approaching touch, his hands on her body, Of skin on skin as The naked embrace Becomes the most Natural thing. The desire racing Through her body, The need to be Touched, kissed, Held, loved, Even taken And yet, And yet, Given. ---- one beautiful word made lovely by lips that speak... as she says my name ----- every word she speaks becomes an intimate kiss... from her distant lips ----- intimate embrace lips whispering words of love... against each other ----- touch me love take me release the feral woman... leave your marks on me ----- a natural pair he loves storms she loves rainbows... Each getting their wish ----- your body and mind joined with wonder and magic... makes poetry love ----- gentle eyes speak volumes i lose myself in her gaze... willing her to smile ----- Be as water is... Angry seas or calm lagoons. Soft summer showers, Stinging wind driven raindrops, Pour yourself upon my soul. ----- • Donovan Baldwin001

- KITTY FISHER'S LOCKETIn Poetry·August 28, 2023I've dipped and delved since half past twelve, Within her silken pocket. I swore I'd find, as was my mind, Sweet Kitty Fisher's locket. Showed her my key, said, "Come, now see..." But, she chose to mock it. What good do you, think THAT will do, In searching for my locket?" I said, "Sweet Kitty, dear so pretty, If you'll help aim and cock it, I'll probe the deep, and sweet dark keep, For your long lost locket." She said, "Dear boy, it's just a toy, A pale and wandering rocket, You'd best take care, if it goes in there, Searching for my locket." "Oh, Kitty dear, I think I'm near, I think I've almost got it." "Not this time, lad, but, don't be sad, You almost found my locket." Then, with a smile, "Just rest a while, Put your toy back in its pocket. Later try once more, a different door, And, I'm sure you'll find my locket. • Donovan Baldwin I have read that the tune, "Yankee Doodle" may have come from an older song, Kitty Fisher's Locket. I could not find the words, although there were references to a courtesan in the English court, Kitty Locket, or Kitty Fisher.003
- CHILDHOOD DREAMSIn Poetry·August 30, 2023We once lived in childhood dreams, Yet, now live each day in acts. Age batters down our dreams it seems, And, buries them 'neath facts. The world is not as a child, Would wish that it might be. Living always free and wild, As we sail an unknown sea. Both time clock and the boss, Are burdens on our souls. Most never even note the loss, Tattered drams now full of holes. So, each day they spend in sorrow, For the dreams they once believed, Passing time until tomorrow, As by day, dreams past are grieved. Perhaps upon some quiet night, They'll remember childhood dreams, Once more their soul in daring flight, Soaring on the moon's bright beams. • Donovan Baldwin000
- VALUES (Up On The Tonto Rim)In Poetry·August 30, 2023I was runnin' on a back road Way up near the Tonto Rim When my semi started smokin' And my hopes began to dim. I'd never get to Payson And drop this load on time. After towing, parts, and labor, I wouldn't make a dime. As I stood there on the shoulder And pondered what to do Staring blindly 'cross a canyon Some things came into view. It wasn't just the mountains, Gray and white against blue sky, Or green pines standing straight and tall, That began to catch my eye. I was in it for the money, Just as much as any man, But also cause I got to see The beauty of this land. I was grateful for the people I met while running free, But lately, though still lookin' I'd forgotten how to see. So, hell, the rig was busted And the boss would sure be mad But I thought I heard a river... You know, it didn't seem so bad! Sure, I have my obligations And the things I've said I'll do. There's money to be made But before each day is through... There's those moments in the mountains Or perhaps along the shore When I stop and I remember What the hell I do it for. So, I stood there with my cell phone, My finger set to dial... Then went looking for that river. The rig could wait a while. • Donovan Baldwin000
- OPEN LETTER TO MR. (THANE) MACBETHIn Poetry·August 31, 2023My dear Macbeth, if you had known Where greed and lust would lead, Would you have hopped the next stage gone, Before your better half would need... A lawyer, and a good hand soap, And, perhaps, a sleeping pill, Or, would you, as you did, you dope, Allow your darling dear to kill... Old Duncan as he slept and snored, Serenely in your king size bed, Unaware of your plans toward, His kingdom crown, and royal head? • Donovan Baldwin001
