We provide free and low-cost tools to help you promote your work, build social networks and followings, and earn money. ArtsKeeper offers public and private rooms where you can discuss your work with friends and colleagues, and give and receive help. Explore our communities to connect with fellow artists. 05 How does ArtsKeeper help provide exposure? We have a showcase where you can display your work, - an online gallery for paintings, sculptures, photographs, etc. - an online library, with an ebook reader, so that people can read your work, - an online music hall where people can listen to your music - a streaming channel where people can see your performances. We will promote your work on social media to raise your visibility and help you create a following. 06 How can ArtsKeeper help artists generate income? We have an ecommerce store where people will be able to buy your art. In addition, we will collaborate with other sites that sell art; we enable artists to collaborate with others; we will have lists of calls and auditions; we will find venues, publicize jam sessions and help artists find agents and sell tickets to shows, concerts, films, etc.; and we will have a location to find awards, prizes and scholarships. 07 What types of artistic categories does ArtsKeeper support? ArtsKeeper covers the literary arts, music, the visual arts, performance arts and will also cover broadcasting, architecture and the decorative arts and crafts. Our goal is to be inclusive, so if you don't see an appropriate category for your art, let us know. 08 What types of Artists will find ArtsKeeper Useful? ArtsKeeper is for: - writers, novelists, poets, story writers and essayists, whether they write books, eBooks, audiobooks or comics, all type of writers - painters, sculptors, photographers, lithographers, printmakers, etc. - musicians of every type - performers, dancers, actors, filmmakers, circus artists, comedians, etc. - broadcasters in television, radio, podcasting and bloggers, etc. -architects and designers - artists working in the decorative arts and crafts including ceramics, fashion design, carvings, embroidery, weaving and more 09 How can I Join ArtsKeeper? First thing to do is click the Join button at the top right so we have your contact information. Then contact us via email and we'll get back to you right away. 10 Does ArtsKeeper charge any fees? ArtsKeeper is free for artists! We may charge a small referral fee or commission for items sold in our store to cover operating costs. Our rates are lower than traditional fees, and we are transparent about them. Some services may have fees in the future, but we will clearly mark them so you are aware. Any excess earnings are reinvested back into the artist community. 11 Does ArtsKeeper need volunteers? Yes, please check our Volunteers page for information and open volunteer positions. We believe volunteering is a great way to learn new skills, develop under the mentorship of experienced people and contribute to the arts community. ArtsKeeper depends on volunteers and appreciates the people who are working to bring you this platform and are working to keep it interesting and helpful. 12 Why does ArtsKeeper have public rooms? The public rooms are for everyone to post and share. We also provide private, specific artist-type focused communities for members only. 13 Why does ArtsKeeper have private rooms? The private rooms are for artists of various types to discuss private affairs. They are safe places to discuss and display your works in progress, swap ideas and materials, create teams and more. If you don't see a private room that meets your needs, let us know and we'll happily create one. 14 How does ArtsKeeper help provide exposure? We showcase artwork submitted by artists on the ArtsKeeper web site where we have: an online gallery for paintings, sculptures, photographs, etc. an online library, with an ArtsKeeper branded ebook reader, so that people can read your work an online music hall where people can listen to your music a streaming channel where people can see your performances we are starting a collection of ArtsKeeper podcasts to allow artists to tell their stories and more We will promote your work on social media to raise your visibility and create a following. You can submit your work following the steps on the ArtsKeeper Services page. 15 Will there be ads on ArtsKeeper? Yes, ArtsKeeper will eventually have ads to help cover expenses. We will ensure they are not intrusive and aim to make them helpful to you. 16 What's coming next? We intend to provide a platform for lectures, teaching, jams, podcasts, and poetry readings. Coming soon. If you would like to help with any of these, let us know... we'd love your help. 17 How can I get Involved in ArtsKeeper? We need your help to spread the word about ArtsKeeper to get more artists to join and use our services. The bigger we get, the better chance we have of getting donations and investments so we can provide more services to our community. Printmaking Printmaking is an artistic process based on the principle of transferring images from a matrix onto another surface, most often paper or fabric. Traditional printmaking techniques include woodcut, etching, engraving, and lithography, while modern artists have expanded available techniques to include screenprinting. To view the printmaker bios and works by artist, please visit the Printmakers group by clicking "Join / View" below. By joining this group, you can enjoy displays and discussions about this ancient craft presented by these master printmakers. The work presented here is made by resident artists of Montpelier Arts Center. All are professional artists and several teach classes at Montpelier. Artists work in their studios throughout the week; they have visiting hours for groups and/or individuals interested in purchasing their work or learning more about the artistic process. On a rotating basis, artists exhibit their work in the Center's Resident Artist Gallery. Printmaking classes and special events are also posted in the Printmakers group. The immediate push of ArtsKeeper is to create the network of artists/artisans, their supporters and consumers. We are building an arts-focused community by providing ready-to-use services so the artists and artisans can focus on what they do best... making our world more beautiful. We provide a disruptive infrastructure that enables the artists to decide how best to get seen and make a living through their art. ArtsKeeper is an advocate for the creators and the "consumers" of the arts. It is our intent to provide free and low-cost benefits to help artists promote their work, build social networks and followings, and earn money. ArtsKeeper also wants to fund promising new projects and help bring ideas to the world to help make it more beautiful and enjoyable. invest in artists ArtsKeeper has the business objective to use the arts to overcome poverty and other social problems which threaten people and society. We are not motivated by profit maximization. We aim to help artists overcome many of the problems that prevent them from focusing on their art. Although ArtsKeeper desires to obtain financial and economic sustainability, ArtsKeeper has no long-term investors or donors unless needed to become involved in new projects. We hope to become a source of support and funding for new projects and we welcome your ideas. Investors get back their investment amount only; no dividend is given beyond investment money. ArtsKeeper will always be a good investment for its investors and investors will always be able to make capital gains from investing in ArtsKeeper. When investment amount is paid back, company profit stays with the company for expansion and improvement. Profits from ArtsKeeper will flow in several directions: a) they will be reinvested in ArtsKeeper projects, b) they will be reinvested in giving back to enthusiasts will who help make ArtsKeeper a success, and/or c) they will be invested in helping artists and creating more venues for the arts, they will be reinvested in the community. Environmentally conscious, ArtsKeeper endeavors never to harm the environment. Workforce gets market wage with better working conditions. ArtsKeeper aims to be an employer of choice and will work to represent the arts community in our workforce diversity. We do it with joy! ArtsKeeper will always be a site creating joy for itself, its workers, its enthusiasts and volunteers, its investors and donors and most importantly, the artistic community. Donations are being accepted and will be used to fund ArtsKeeper operations and provide modest support for our volunteers - many are struggling artists working to start their careers in the arts.
