- Rich little gamesIn Poetry·January 22, 2024I didn't realize how shallow you could be; always ready with a mouthful of games, ready to spew out your heartaches on me I've become a punching bag for all the pains of your past; and I take it, hit for hit, again and again, pain after pain; your past life haunting our days and nights I'm not ready to fight your fights You knock me down and I get back up until you have the audacity to tell me you've had enough Needing me only to drink your lies so that you can sleep at night So convenient for rich little boys like you ~ ©️ Priya Patel, Jan 21, 24 🕉 Artist is Akash Bhisikar214

- Tender SoulsIn Poetry·January 22, 2024My heart melts for those tender souls Foraging in the frozen cold Those of wings, feathers and fur Struggling to keep life lit As temperatures fall ice forms on my pond But yet there’s few fights over seed or suet Rather all wait in turn Honoring the pecking order So all can live until the morrow116

- ClosureIn Poetry·January 16, 2024It amazes me sometimes, how life seems to always come around full circle, and that certain moments today are somehow connected to moments in our past in the most unexpected ways; I was reminded of that today God surely does work in mysterious ways I lost someone special in my past; someone so very close to me I was so very blind that I couldn't even see what was happening right before my eyes; nor could I hear his many silent cries and I can't help but feel this burden of guilt now for not doing my part to help heal him He left me with a gaping hole beyond my control deep within my heart, and the real truth is, I lack closure Today, an unfortunate news; someone else I once knew, same place, same circumstances but maybe this time; maybe this time I can close that gaping hole I can somehow help to heal his soul, and through him, make my brother proud ... I miss you Vic, so very much, with love, this is for you ~ ©️ Priya Patel, Jan 16, 24 🕉249

- THE GOWNIn Short Stories·January 19, 2024Rising from the warm bed, the chill in the air, and a surprising surge of modesty, considering the night before, made her reach for her gown to cover her nakedness. But, the chill was arousing, as was the freedom from restrictions... and, he was watching her... she sighed with pleasure... leaving the gown where it lay. Donovan Baldwin113
