- MUST YOU LEAVE AT DAWNIn Poetry·September 1, 2023Must you leave at dawn, Leaving only with words... The ones I chose, The ones you left, Can you not stay, and, Resting on my chest, Softly speak those words Growing more eager as you Delve deeper into Your own desires, And my wordless responses? • Donovan Baldwin000
- MUST YOU LEAVE AT DAWN?In Poetry·September 2, 2023Must you leave at dawn, Leaving only with words... The ones I chose, The ones you left, Can you not stay, and, Resting on my chest, Softly speak those words Growing more eager as you Delve deeper into Your own desires, And my wordless responses? ----- what she does to me makes me growl a primal growl... before her first touch ------ nude in a gown of sighs as his day broke over her... filling hills and valleys ----- by one candle's light she shows him all her secrets... he must learn by touch ----- one bold night she dares to reveal all her secrets... to please her poet ----- cheek against bare chest her hand peacefully resting... just above my heart a snuggling wiggle a warm sigh of contentment... as she fills my arms intimately aware of her body curved to mine... where it's meant to be ----- how long lasts a kiss the best will be a lifetime... where naught else exists ----- when properly stroked touched a roughly gentle way... she sings like crystal too like a crystal stimulated she shatters... in blinding prisms explosions of light ultimate release made known... ecstasy's rainbow ----- there's nothing stronger than love's ethereal strands... which reach between us ------ would touching you burn each time i imagine it... i feel i'm on fire ----- desires which fill her pleasures she's so long denied... become real with him ----- i dare not touch you for fear that you are not real... dream that fades at dawn ----- • Donovan Baldwin001

- AT THE URGING OF NUNSIn Poetry·September 2, 2023At the urging of the nuns, I read of Homer's heroes, Of the ravishing beauty of Helen who toppled The "topless towers of Ilium", Words musical to a boy, A stirring tale replete With godlike warriors, And too human goddesses, So romantically inclined And also loosely clad, bosomy Female deities full of passion, Seething human frailties and desires How could I, imprssionable teen, Fail to become entranced, With the romance of poetry? • Donovan Baldwin Art: Paris_Abducting_Helen_C1782-C1784_by_Gavin_Hamilton003
