- I'VE WAITED FOR YOUIn Poetry·April 7, 2023I've waited for you, Sought you, oh, these many years, In the dusty rows of books, Of a multitude of libraries, And old bookstores, Along the shores of foreign Seas, and beneath the moon, The only thing we share, Leaving messages upon the wind, Teaching the gull by the sea, To cry out unceasingly, Hoping that someday, somehow, One of us would find the other, And share the books the moon the seas, Becoming lost no more, So easily found, In one another's arms. ----- Donovan Baldwin002
- The Aye’s Have It!In Poetry·April 18, 2023The courtroom is packed, the jury is out… every Tom, Dick and Harry knows what it’s about. It's going on six hours arguing back and forth. They finally all agree that when Jack shot the sheriff, it was an act of insanity. Out comes the bailiff – the jurors take their seats The judge reads the verdict “not guilty, the aye’s have it – not guilty,” he repeats. ©L. G. Rogers 4-18-20230014
- What is LoveIn Poetry·April 21, 2023A proverbial question over the ages, "What Is Love" has many answers. Some would agree your heart might beat faster - you know that you know it's real in your mind... It's often defined as a spiritual kind. Saturday afternoon at six - your heart aflutter - you wait for the phone to ring... or it might be a feeling that sends you reeling - like hearing a baby's first cry. It might make you sing or cause you to weep, make you dance or make you lose sleep... but it's safe to say at the end of the day - love is all that matters. ©L. Rogers 4-20-230010
