- FOREVER ONEIn Poetry·September 6, 2022Two tawny foxes once hunted alone and sheltered at night in their dark forest home. Autumn came briskly with colors aflame, setting the stage for a mating game. Winter would come - he must find a mate- make a love den and seal up their fate. A foxtrot they danced in the blue light of moon, ahead of the snows that would cover them soon. Now nestled together in warm coats of fur, she surrenders to him as he gives unto her. No more a twosome, their hearts beat as one - devoted forever - Forever One L G Rogers copyright 02/27/21006

- THE SEA! THE SEA!In Poetry·September 12, 2022The sea! The sea! She calls to me, With an ancient siren song, That stirs the heart, So it must depart, On travels dangerous and long. I heard the sound, On the inward bound, Winds from across the Main, And left all held dear, For year after year, And ne'er returned again. - Donovan Baldwin002

After she sang, she said: “To anyone who has ever, ever, had a dream and thought your dream wasn’t, couldn’t, wouldn’t come true, I am here to tell you that this is what believing looks like, this is what striving looks like, and don’t you ever, ever give up.” Get help. Don’t give up on your dreams because people say, “you’ll never make a living.” Get help and encouragement from ArtsKeeper. She also added: “I’m the little 5-year-old girl who watched TV on a Sunday night when Tinkerbell went around the steeple. I’m going to Hollywood, I’m to be an actress” The part that contains Ms Ralph's acceptance begins a the 4 minute mark: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cRw8IFLS1Fs004
- Beside The LakeIn Poetry·September 15, 2022Beside the lake, Through the open door and windows, I hear birds call, as The sun, rising higher, Heats the Texas air, Calls the flowers out, Creating wisps of wind, Fanning the branches Of the brush outside my window, As I wait for the timid deer, To wander through my morning. - Donovan Baldwin001
- We Have SinnedIn Poetry·September 15, 2022We have sinned in so many ways, You and I, the worst sins being Of omission, failure to pursue Desires and dreams, Passing our lives, So far apart, In search of one another, Not knowing names or faces, Until a moment when, Atoning for past failures, We saw one another, And knew. - Donovan Baldwin001
- Let Romance Be The RhythmIn Poetry·September 15, 2022Raise eyes and heart, my love, Let dreams and desires, Held in check so long, Become your song, Dancing, daring, Let romance be the rhythm To which your body responds, Showing the true woman, Who heard love's mad music, Dancing now, seducing, or seduced, In ecstasy with the dance. - Donovan Baldwin001
- HIDDEN WOMANIn Poetry·October 24, 2022I heard the wind speak of you. The waves whispered secrets That I could barely understand, And yet, and yet, I craved to meet This fabled creature never found On this earth in this life, until, One day I wrote a poem and I felt your eyes upon it and Following the gaze found at last The hidden woman I had sought. - Donovan Baldwin001
