what if you're the one
I've been waiting for so long
different yet same
what if you're the awe
thundering in my heart
sin i long to touch
what if you're the love
that transports me on a street
from this common world
-----
two lovers wearing
silver garments of the moon
their desires exposed
-----
sharing morning coffee
she from her dainty cup
he from his heavy beaker
she gentle goddess
he the rough old soldier
strange lovers indeed
her bright and loving smile
his ragged grimace knowing eyes
two souls much alike
-----
i quickly knew it
as our words were intertwined
they belonged together
-----
did you see the poem
one that this lost poet wrote
hoping you'd see yourself
-----
you loved another
you loved a different way
yet i still loved you
-----
loved you since we met
never doubted a moment
no matter who you loved
-----
some say they're queer
but they seem normal to me
not the least bit odd
-----
love's a two-way street
often in more ways than one
with more destinations
-----
most things we call sin
usually are pleasures
others don't want us to enjoy
-----
have you no idea
just how much you mean to me
how much you matter
-----
wish the world could know
all the poems you've been in
all the words you caused
-----
the magic you wield
gift of bohemian gods
controlling desire
-----
i think she loved me
in the moments we made love
i loved her after
-----
the peace you would know
if you could accept my love
and share the future
-----
He swore that he loved her. Yet, he had loved so many women. And yet, another yet, she was not innocent herself... in acts or in fantasies. Could he, would he, accept her and her own sins, as she was prepared to accept his. In his arms she spilled out all that she had one and dreamed... and he told her his sins. And then they smiled and held each other and made love from sundown until dawn... and entered their future together and aware and perfectly comfortable with each other's past.
-----
you can find yourself
in my words present and past
i love you then and now
-----
far beyond touch
exposed all possible ways
embraced in nakedness
-----
she cannot love me
for i am an ancient man
she is young and lovely
-----
loves my poetry
but will not be seen with me
because of years between us
-----
from where came these words
from all the things that I have done
when i once was young
-----
i know no one loves me
I have lived my life that way
and yet i have loved
-----
i have dreamed your kiss
hoped so much for your embrace
wish that this was real
-----
knowing no one loves me
each day must be spent alone
till death brings release
-----
a lifetime of lies
told i was smart valuable
yet life showed otherwise
------
why do i bother
live or die no one cares
everyone else more important
-----
many years alone
in the midst of others' needs
last thing they think of
-----
i write words about
love I've given never known
a life spent alone
-----
why do i bother
nothing will ever save me
whatever saving means
