Zachary "Zack" Coffin is an American/Canadian actor, writer and filmmaker living in India. He has traveled, lived and worked in over 35 countries around the world but for the past 10 years has found his home in Mumbai.
'DELIVERANCE' is Zack's debut film as a director in India. As a filmmaker, Zack trained at three film schools in the U.S. – studying screenwriting at Columbia University and film production at NYU’s Sight & Sound Summer program, before moving to Los Angeles and spending three years in directing at USC. Formally, Zack graduated with an MFA in Film Production from USC’s School of Cinematic Arts, and with a BA, magna cum laude, from Columbia. He then went on to win the Television Academy’s prestigious internship in directing and worked on an Emmy Award-winning TV series.
As an actor, in India and the West, Zack has performed in over 50 film, TV and theatre productions in primarily in English and Hindi, but his performances have also been in Tamil, Kannada, French and Spanish. He trained at the Stella Adler Acting Studio in New York City, and began as a stage actor touring India with the play ‘Baghdad Wedding,’ which won the national META award for Best Play and Best Ensemble. Most known for the Hindi hit movies ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ and ‘Parmanu,’ and the digital series 'Made in Heaven' and ‘State of Siege: 26/11,’ Zack has been nominated in the Best Actor category by the Indian Television Association four times.
Zack is an avid bicyclist on the pot-holed streets of his adopted city of Mumbai, and though he’s broken his wrist and hand – and has been hit more times than he can count – he finds the sheer delight of gliding through traffic worth it. Always.
