when your words appear
my ancient heart beats faster
my years fall away
-----
when you're world-weary
make me your bed and pillow
find comfort in my arms
-----
no finer poems
than the poetry you cause
no one ever sees
-----
a lifetime looking
but once that i had found you
a lifetime loving
-----
lips playfully patrol
the pleasing panorama
of her loving lands
-----
my first taste of love
forbidden foray into
alternate secrets
-----
tempting triangle
where desire and passion meet
eve's other eden
-----
her fingers bidding
hidden butterflies take flight
swift wings fluttering
-----
my fingers touch cheeks
tips tracing your warm soft lips
searching for love's words
-----
sometimes even angels sin
sharing love with mortal men
arms held wide to let them in
-----
sometimes i like to think that she
some night might read my poetry
my words pounding in HER breast
repeating parts she loves the best,
her lips silent but for sighing
as she reads them realizing,
how much of her in words is seen
how much in spaces in between
how when my pen is laid to rest
her whispers pounding in MY breast
-----
poetry's sharp blade
becomes sensuous satin
properly wielded
-----
your name echoing
like sunset's departing gold
until a memory
