What cares the water
For the wants of mankind
Or the air above
For our desires and dreams?
They have been and will be
Beyond our being
And have no thoughts
About the concerns of mortals.
What care we humans
For the worries of the ant,
The intentions of the bee,
And yet, perhaps we should.
For rocks and water,
Have no desire to remain,
But merely do so, while we
Must plan and act to survive.
