ME, MYSELF, AND THEM

I have to step inside my head

From time to time you see,

For if I don't check in on him,

Then he's not really me.

I can't leave id and ego

Alone upon their shelf

For I must supervise the two,

Or else I'm not myself.

And then there's superego

Taking charge of all,

Upset with my intrusion,

Each time I come to call.
