Door shut,
Alone with her lover,
She opens the screen,
Begins to read his words,
Allowing them to touch her,
In ways she's long desired,
But, not dared to seek.
In this electronic age,
She spends her time alone,
Reading and re-reading,
Letting the raw emotions,
The gasping, grasping
Uninhibited content
Of the words take her
To places she's not gone before,
To do things she's not dared before,
To follow her own pathways,
Her hands following the
Directions of the electrons,
The words of her lover,
And the tides of her own
Needs and desires.
