Grizzled old beachcomber,
No Prince Charming, I,
Misplaced in space and time,
In this dry, landlocked place,
Arid and alone, longing for one mermaid,
One silly, poetic, beachcomberess,
If there be such a one,
Who too craves
The sea and moon,
Tales of love,
And, shared caresses.
