The more we give, the happier we feel. Volunteering increases self-confidence. You are doing good for others and the community, which provides a natural sense of accomplishment. Your role as a volunteer can also give you a sense of pride and identity.
ArtsKeeper is dependent upon volunteers. We are building an arts community and in doing so, are endeavoring to have this community support itself.
As artists we tend to create alone. That's not to say we don't collaborate with others who help refine, improve and promote our work. Yet there is so much we can learn from each other, and gain the positive energy from working together.
Helping ArtsKeeper evolve and reach more artists and art supporters is good work. The goal of this work is to enable artists to live by doing their art. Many of us found without a strong support network we had to go into career fields other than the arts to support ourselves and our families. We are motivated to provide that missing support network for YOU so you can focus on your art to make a good living.
We are giving volunteers opportunities to learn and try new things, to apply their skills and expertise, and to build good reputations and references. We don't ask for much of your time, just that you make a commitment and follow-through.
You and our ArtsKeeper community will benefit greatly!
