Read some rather negative comments elsewhere earlier, and got to thinking about negatives and positives.
I like being positive, thinking about beauty and joy and happiness and health, but, not because I'm a Pollyanna, or fail to recognize and realize the pains and difficulties of life.
Lke everyone, I have a choice each and every day, several, indeed, and I choose to look for those things, and others like them, when I have the option.
Obviously, if I drop something on my foot, hit my thumb with a hammer, or get called an idiot by an irate driver (rightly or wrongly), beauty, joy, happiness, and health are the last things on my mind.
Yet, when I have the option, I CHOOSE to look at flowers and watch sunsets, and walk in the woods and along the shore by choice... and write poetry that interests me.
I guess, if I WANTED to, I COULD look for the ugly, the sorrowful, the sad, and the unhealthy, but, I, like everyone else, DO have a choice.
They make their choices. I make mine.
Right?
Wrong?
Don't know, but, choosing is something we all can do and I make mine the way I... well... choose.
