In Dec 2021, as a part of my Winter vacation, I visited Merritt Island NWR in Titusville, Florida. Bird photographers visit this NWR in Jan/Feb, apart from attending “Space Coast Birding & Wildlife Festival”, they get a look at migrating waterfowl and all manner of shorebirds especially along Black Point Wildlife Drive, a 7-mile loop around salt marsh. That is where I took this photograph.
My name is Jaganadha Karra “Sastry” (Pronounce as SAS3), born in India, but left when I was 24 years old. For the past 27 years, I am working as an IT professional, and has been living in NJ (USA) since 2004.
I started photography using HP Photosmart 8MP digital camera in 2001 and took until 2004. Due to family situations, I could not continue my passion until 2018. In 2018, I bought Nikon D3400 (24MP) and started my Nature Photography, upgraded to D7100 (24MP) in 2019. Recently, I got my D800 FX (36MP) camera and excited to use it from Spring 2022. During my spare time, I go outdoors and takes nature photos, especially waterfalls. Along with my wife (who loves hiking), we go to many nearby state parks where I can experiment with different compositions.
My favorites ones are Long-Exposure & Motion Blur Photography techniques. In the summer, when my friends play cricket, I have been experimenting with sports photography. Residing in NJ, I get a chance to visit the Dirt Bike racetrack where the drivers practice and I get a chance to photo their actions.
You can find me on instagram at @sastrykarra, where I post most of my picture. On Facebook, I am active in some photography forums, like NANPA. Around seven blog articles were published in NANPA Website too.
